In fact, the word Peony means mudan in Chinese, translating to king of flowers.

9) Aloe vera

The 15th of April through the 15th of June is considered to be a growing season of this auspicious plant. The plant basil is considered to be an incarnation of goddess Lakshmi and also people believe that by touching her one becomes pure.
An important point to note is that Tulsi should be planted/grown facing towards north or north-west for its growing abilities. Also, the plant which is near this divine plant must be a flowering plant and in many cultures, this tradition is maintained strictly as the tulsi is considered a female plant. 11) Rosemary
Rosemary is rich in compounds of anti-inflammatory and antioxidants, which are used to boost the immune system of human beings. Studies have shown that rosemary neutralizes free radicals which is considered to be harmful to humans.
The Europeans considered rosemary as a good fortune and protection from a long time. According to feng shui planting rosemary outside the house brings good fortune and also protects the house from evil spirits. And rosemary is also believed to bring peace to both living and dead. Rosemary is a great plant for homes.
12) Four leaved clover
Each of the four leaves of the Four leaved clover is believed to hold a significant meaning – faith, hope , love and luck. It is also believed that the one who wears this clover has the power to see fairies if and when they are around. Another popular belief is that the plant protects the person or the home if there are any evil spirits around.
There is a strong belief that the one who finds a clover will find true love before valentines day. This is grown in the house as a protection and good fortune. Some people also put this clover in their shoes thinking that this will lead them to their soulmate.
13) Philodendron
This plant is considered to clean the air around. Also, the studies show that having philodendron at every 100 square feet will purify the environment to a certain range.
These plants have the ability to grow at the dimmest lights and are most suitable for office environment where the lighting is low. And is considered to be fortunate and brings success according to feng shui. They are also used to treat asthma and other breathing problems. It’s a great plant for a vertical garden.
